Welcome to our Blog!

We are Team Life Through Language, a group of 7 students in the Masters of Interactive Media program at Elon University traveling to the city of Leeuwarden in the Netherlands to create a project that aims to bring awareness to minority languages and their associated cultures. We will be working with Mirjam Vellinga and her colleagues at Af√Ľk, an organization whose goals include language promotion, language transfer and cultural transfer in the province of Friesland in the Netherlands. Our final product will be displayed at the language pavilion that has been built in the Prinsentuin park at the center of Leeuwarden during the European Cultural Capital celebration, which will take place from the end of March through the end of October 2018.

This is the first time that the iMedia program has had the opportunity to complete a project in the Netherlands and we are so looking forward to getting started. To learn more about our team, visit the Meet the Team page.
